
Professor Emmanuel Adinyira is a Professor of Construction Project Management in the Department of Construction Technology and Management at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and the Fmr. Vice Dean of Faculty of Built Environment, College of Art and Built Environment, KNUST. He is the founder of ABER-Foundation; a non-governmental, non-profit Research Foundation that seeks to advance collaborative education in the built environment, through research, advocacy, capacity building, knowledge transfer, and networking. His main area of specialization is construction health, safety, and environmental management.
As a very active researcher, Emmanuel has published several books, book chapters, and journal articles in this area. He is highly cited and has spoken at several local and international conferences. Emmanuel continues to serve as a guest editor, editor, editorial board member, and reviewer for several national and international journals and conferences. He has worked as a visiting scholar at Loughborough University, UK, University of Johannesburg, South Africa, and University of West of England, Bristol UK. He has also served as a placement coach (local supervisor) for the following international programmes: Bachelor, Urban and Regional Planning, Saxion University of Applied Science, Netherlands and International Project Management (IPM), Hochschule Fur Technik Stuttgart University of Applied Sciences Germany. As a construction professional, Emmanuel has worked on several projects in Ghana and other West African countries.
