As a native Ghanaian educated in the United States, Annie is driven to provide other Ghanaians with the same opportunity she was given. Annie holds a BS in Agriculture Biotechnology from the University of Kentucky, and is currently a student in the Masters of Agriculture Program with an emphasis on international development at Oklahoma State University. Since starting her masters’ degree programme, she has had many opportunities to be involved in international projects. As an assistant to Dr. Mike Dicks, endowed chair of the OSU School of International Studies, Annie has travelled to both Sierra Leone and Ghana to aid in international development projects. With a firm grasp of the importance of local sustainability, Annie was able to help with initial planning and development of the Sierra Leone Youth Initiative Development Projects hosted by OSU. She also has experience working in Ghana on ways to improve farmers’ livelihood through completed research and internships with Monsanto Company.
